# Feminist Shower Art This Funky Bathroom Art Has a Powerful Message By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-09-05 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shower-art References: [buzzfeed](http://www.buzzfeed.com/catesevilla/20-feminist-items-you-need-for-your-home-immediately) & [etsy](https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/194467121/feminist-art-for-your-bathroom-go-get?ref=shop_home_active_17) This feminist shower art piece by Ugly Baby reads: "Go get your almost equal pay." The phrase is accompanied by the figure of a tiny, corporate-looking woman, who looks pretty peeved at the continuing inequality herself. The piece, which is made from "rubber, glitter, discarded toys and a fair amount of sarcasm," can be hung onto your shower tiles, or any other surface, by way of the suction cup. More importantly, this adorable art will make a perfect gift for any feminist in your life, guaranteed to make them laugh -- even if it is an angry sort of chuckle, one that's accompanied by a manic, almost murderous look in their eyes. The project description on [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarotandreading) suggests that you "Look at this instead of drinking coffee to get your blood moving in the morning." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Feminist Shower Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating a line of feminist-themed bathroom accessories and art that empower and inspire women in their everyday lives. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing unique and unconventional art pieces that challenge societal norms and promote social commentary. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Self-Pleasure Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/womanizer-wave.md) - [Demure Hand Shower Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-jar-shower-head.md) - [Whimsical Ceramic Shower Hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-shower-hook.md) - [Colorful Hand Shower Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sproos-shower.md) - [Nature-Inspired Artful Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-bathing-collection.md) - [Sexuality-Exploring Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rude-arts-club.md) - [Pink-Hued Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-x-hewi.md) - [Sex-Positive Art Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carne-bollente-3.md) - [Fully Integrated Smart Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-shower-head.md)
