This system tracks players' shooting success and provides insight into their strengths and weaknesses. The system is targeted towards non-elite players who otherwise wouldn't have access to [detailed data about their shooting game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sports-training-systems). The ShotTracker system consists of a trio of components. It comes with a sensor that has to be attached to the basketball net. This weatherproof sensor runs on a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery and automatically stays in sleep mode until the user begins shooting. The net sensor then sends a signal to a separate sensor that is worn by the user. The user-worn sensor is lightweight and snugly fits under a wrist band or sleeve. As the wearer shoots, the wrist sensor alerts the net sensor to the incoming ball. The ShotTracker is available online, with a package consisting of a net sensor, wrist sensor, wrist band, sleeve and charging unit going for $150. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wearable Sports Technology:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the development of advanced wearable sports technology that provides detailed data and analysis for non-elite players. - **Player Performance Tracking:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in player performance tracking systems that analyze shooting success, strengths, and weaknesses. - **Accessible Data Analytics:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing affordable and accessible data analytics tools for non-elite athletes to improve their skills. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Sports Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunities exist in the sports technology industry to develop advanced tracking systems and wearable devices for analyzing player performance. - **Data Analytics:** Disruptive innovation opportunities exist in the data analytics industry to create affordable and user-friendly tools for non-elite athletes to access and analyze their performance data. - **Athletic Training:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the athletic training industry by integrating wearable sports technology and data analytics to enhance skill development for non-elite players. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sport Performance Biometric Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinexon-sports.md) - [Intelligent Basketball Hoops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-basketball-hoop.md) - [Wearable Performance Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cityplay.md) - [AI-Powered Sports Training Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-shooting-system.md) - [Performance-Tracking Skate Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hockey-skate-sensors.md) - [Performance-Analyzing Skiing Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-ski-tracker.md) - [AI Basketball Highlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-basketball.md) - [Unimagined Basketball Dribbling Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dribbletek.md) - [Space-Saving Smart Basketball Hoops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huupe-mini.md)
