Andi Barness-Rubin, creator of Cart Safe, says: "Once we learned that the quantity of bacteria found on shopping cart surfaces was higher than those found in public restrooms, we knew we needed to create a cover that would add that much-needed extra layer of protection between shoppers and shopping carts." In August 2020, Cart Safe launched a recyclable shopping cart liner and this new washable version promises to be a solution that sticks around post-pandemic.
