Dutch designer Eric Hullegie has re-imagined the [construction of footwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-sneaker-1) through his Shoefactory Revised project. Teaming up with Spanish shoemaker Camper, he participated in the production of their [iconic products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunnei-x-camper-pelotissima-collection). Perhaps the word 'interfered' is better suited.

Hellegie reveals, "It was my aim to have the people of Camper do what they are best at--making shoes according to longstanding technical standards and procedures--and at the same time add something of my own by interfering with the process of production. In this way I cleared the ground for new results in terms of construction, the use of different techniques, materials and forms." By doing so, the Shoefactory Revised was born.

The Shoefactory Revised involves a vacuum machine to create [customized, one-off shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sean-wotherspoon-x-zellerfeld) full of vibrancy.
