Krists Pudzens' new 'Shift' collection features seven [tech-inspired sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hofa-gallery). The Latvia-based artist is known for his new media sculptures. One of the most intricate pieces in the collection is 'Unbalanced Force,' which depicts two robotic organisms climbing a rope.

Pudzens used AI to enable the robots to climb the way he envisioned. A neural network figure is responsible for creating the algorithm that makes the robot ascend smoothly. Another piece in the exhibit uses [facial recognition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow) to match the speed, rhythm and patterns of the people who walk by the sculpture.

The exhibition merges high-tech with art in a way that leaves the observer with child-like wonderment at the capabilities of [AI-designed robotics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seoul-robot-ai). Technology is only becoming more important in the average consumer's day-to-day life, but the collection shows that it can be beautifully transformed into art.
