The show is sponsored by the government, which seeks to promote Brussels-based ingenuity. The ‘Shelve’ closet typifies that ingenuity; it’s a modular, customizable shelving system that was made for the closet but would look good in the living room. Lhoas & Lhoas Architects were just one of many great designers presenting at this year’s show. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Shelving Systems:** The 'Shelve' closet system demonstrates the trend of modular and customizable shelving systems that can be used in various spaces. - **Brussels-based Ingenuity:** The 101% Designed in Brussels show highlights the trend of promoting and showcasing innovative designs from Brussels. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** The 'Shelve' closet system exemplifies the trend of furniture that can be used in different rooms, such as a shelving system that can be used in both closets and living rooms. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The 'Shelve' closet system presents an innovative opportunity for furniture designers to create modular and multi-functional shelving systems. - **Interior Design:** The trend of modular shelving systems offers disruptive innovation opportunities for interior designers to create versatile and customizable storage solutions. - **Exhibition and Trade Shows:** The 101% Designed in Brussels show provides a platform for designers to showcase their innovative creations and find potential partnerships in the industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Progressive Storage Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledoux-prt-collection.md) - [Folding Steel Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pli-steel-wall-shelf.md) - [L-Shaped Stacked Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loft-shelf.md) - [Modular Contemporary Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv.md) - [Adaptable Flat-Pack Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-pack-shelving.md) - [Customizable Storage Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelved-modular-furniture.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Modular Organized Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unit-shelving-system.md) - [Modern Convertible Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blendend.md)
