Trend Hunter's President Shelby Walsh was recently selected to serve as a judge on a panel for an exciting and inspiring new initiative from Mattel Canada.
Having just launched the new Entrepreneur Barbie, Mattel Canada also created a Barbie Business Bursary program that focuses on encouraging girls under the age of 18 to chase their entrepreneurial dreams. Walsh will help select three ambitious entrepreneurs from the competition who will each be awarded $2,500 to help make their dreams come true. The contest is an excellent way to teach young girls that anything is possible.
Mattel launches Entrepreneur Barbie with big PR Push
The company created a Barbie Business Bursary program that will award $2,500 each to three promising entrepreneurs under 18. "We’re telling girls to dream big, but we also wanted to show them that dreams can become a reality," said Alicia Sumar, brand manager, Barbie – Mattel Canada. "[With the bursary], we are going to help young entrepreneurs make their dreams come true."
