The vehicle features an electric all-wheel drive (eAWD) along with the Performance Edition Extended Range Battery, while the body was redesigned to help reduce weight for enhanced performance. This includes graphene-infused carbon fiber body pieces and more. The Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT Concept was commented on by Board Member of Carroll [Shelby International](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rent-a-racer) Aaron Shelby who said, "My grandfather, Carroll Shelby relentlessly experimented with new technologies to gain a competitive edge. He researched everything from exotic materials to alternative propulsion systems, including electrification. Before his passing, Carroll told me that he hoped to see the future of EV from a performance perspective. Working closely with the team at [Ford](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-mustang-mache-gt-bronze), our Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT was built in Carroll’s spirit of innovation as we strive to fulfill his visionary dreams.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Electric Performance Vehicles:** Innovation opportunities exist in the development of new, faster-charging batteries and more efficient electric motors. - **Graphene-infused Carbon Fiber:** Graphene-infused materials have the potential to revolutionize the performance of lightweight vehicles and aircraft. - **Alternative Propulsion Systems:** Opportunities exist in researching and developing alternative propulsion systems for high-performance vehicles, such as hydrogen fuel cells and hybrids. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive:** Automotive manufacturers and suppliers have opportunities to develop and market new technologies for electric and lightweight vehicles. - **Sustainable Energy:** Companies involved in sustainable energy technologies, such as battery and electric motor manufacturers, have opportunities to supply materials and components for high-performance electric vehicles. - **Carbon Fiber Manufacturing:** Carbon fiber manufacturers have opportunities to innovate through the development of lighter and stronger materials for vehicles and aircraft. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Metallic-Finished Electric SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-mustang-mache-gt-bronze.md) - [High-Performance Sports Car Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-ford-mustang-gtd.md) - [Retro-Inspired Mustangs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mustang-shelby-gt500-heritage.md) - [Fast-Charging Electric Mustangs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1967-ford-mustang-fastback.md) - [High-Powered Electric Pick-Up Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/f100-eluminator.md) - [Inaugural Electric Muscle Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charger-daytona-srt.md) - [Nostalgic Muscle Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ac-cobra-gtg.md) - [Electric Sports Car Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/california-corvette.md) - [Inaugural Custom Mustang Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/custom-mustang.md)
