# Slim Skeletal Seating The Shark Chair by Green is a Versatile and Vibrant Furniture Piece By Meghan Young | Published 2014-03-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-chair References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/007673.html) & [greensrl.it](http://www.greensrl.it/) There is something skeletal about the [Shark Chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bape-x-medicom-toy-30th), which has nothing to do with a macabre nature in the least. Instead, it has to do with the slim design of the arms, legs and even part of the backrest. These dimensions aside, the Shark Chair is actually a cheerful piece of furniture that would brighten up any living space in an instant. This is due in large part to the bright colors the Shark Chair comes in. It is available in 7 different colors, which make 49 different color combinations through the seat and back rest. Designed by [Green Srl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-green-sandwich-house), the Shark Chair is described as "an anywhere, any place kind of chair," by Trendir. Whether used outdoors or indoors, it brings a sculptural touch to the home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Slim Seating:** A trend of sleek and slim furniture designs that provide artistic and functional seating solutions. - **Vibrant Furniture:** A trend of furniture designs that emphasize bright and bold colors to add a cheerful and playful element to living spaces. - **Versatile Chairs:** A trend of chairs that are designed to be used in both indoor and outdoor settings, providing flexible and adaptable seating solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to innovate and produce sleek, colorful, and versatile seating solutions to meet the demand for trendy furniture designs. - **Home Decor and Furnishing Retail:** Opportunity for retailers to introduce vibrant and versatile seating options such as the Shark Chair, which could help diversify product offerings and appeal to a broader customer base. - **Outdoor Furniture Retail:** Opportunity for outdoor furniture retailers to offer versatile and colorful furniture options that could enhance the outdoor living experience and add a touch of creativity and style to patios, decks, and balconies. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Insect-Like Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mantis-chair.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Skeletally Inspired Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaise-espinhal.md) - [Versatile Dynamic Armchair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-armchair.md) - [Sea Creature Study Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pirate-shark-study-desk.md) - [Sculptural Recycled Plastic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-chair.md) - [Shapeshifting Spine-Like Work Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spine-chair.md) - [Fishing-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/akos-huber.md) - [Naturalistic Grass-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-flip-chair.md)
