# Wilting Flower Holders The Shaky Vase by Enzyma Appear Sad and Downtrodden By Meghan Young | Published 2013-03-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaky-vase References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/shaky-a-sculptural-vase-from-enzyma/) & [enzyma.it](http://www.enzyma.it/collections/complementi/12/SHAKY_vaso_/_vase) Thankfully the only thing that looks wilted is the Shaky Vase and not the [flowers it contains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase). Drooping down to take on a U-shape, it would be the perfect present for Eeyore, the pessimistic and gloomy friend of Winnie the Pooh. The catch is that the Shaky Vase gives a glimmer of hope and happiness in the form of the blooms it holds. Designed by Gianluca Sgalippa, the founder of the Italian brand Enzyma, the Shaky Vase has a [playful cylindrical shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinetic-vases) that would add a fun touch to any home. The name of the Shaky Lamp is derived from the fact that one of the 'legs' doesn't reach the table, giving is a precarious look. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Playful Home Decor:** The Shaky Vase suggests an opportunity to create more playful and unique home decor items. - **Precarious Design:** Designers could explore the idea of creating items with a precarious or wobbly design, similar to the Shaky Vase. - **Optimistic Design:** The combination of a sad-looking design with a cheerful function could inspire designers to create other items that offer a glimmer of hope and happiness. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Manufacturers and designers in the home decor industry could explore incorporating playful and unique designs like the Shaky Vase into their product offerings. - **Floral/gift Industry:** Flower shops and the gift industry may find the Shaky Vase to be a unique and interesting item to add to their inventory and could inspire the creation of other unique vases. - **Artificial Intelligence:** By incorporating artificial intelligence technology, similar designs like the Shaky Vase could have the potential to adjust and straighten out over time, becoming more stable in their design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Packaging-Inspired Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-milk-vase.md) - [Unusual Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-brown-paper-bag-vase.md) - [Floating Stem Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lotus-effect-vase.md) - [Puddle-Imitating Minimal Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puddle-series.md) - [Minimalistic Feline-Inspired Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-silhouette-vase.md) - [Miniature Cylindrical Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanakubari.md) - [Jewelry-Holding Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-vase-stand.md) - [Chandelier-Shaped Self-Watering Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfwatering-vase.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md)
