Using a [high speed camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai), Davidson was able to catch a mixture of fur and water flying off of each of her [feline portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom). The humorous picture series features internet celebrity cat 'Lil Bub,' as well as a number of different [rescue cats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uber-showcats) in silly poses as they shake back and forth. Davidson was able to capture each cat mid-shake by either petting them with a wet hand, or using a routine ear cleaning solution treatment applied by an animal care professional . The collection was captured for the upcoming book 'Shake Cats,' and the photos of each rescue cat were also used to help them recruit a new owner. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **High Speed Photography:** Opportunity for businesses to develop high-speed cameras or innovative accessories to capture unique moments. - **Pet Photography:** Opening for businesses to specialize in pet photography and offer unique services like capturing shaking moments. - **Humorous Animal Portraits:** Potential for businesses to create humorous animal portrait collections or collaborate with photographers to create similar projects. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for photography businesses to offer high-speed photography services or accessories. - **Pet Care:** Potential for pet care businesses to offer shaking pet photography sessions or collaborate with pet photographers for marketing purposes. - **Publishing:** Opportunity for publishing companies to release humorous animal portrait books or collaborate with photographers to create unique collections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet-Taken Camera Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartography.md) - [AI-Enhanced Pet Adoption Photos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personality-pics.md) - [Playful Cat Illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-meow.md) - [Feline-Friendly Drying Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dmuse-cat-tower.md) - [Cat-Friendly Book Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tails-of-irresistibility.md) - [Big-Screen Cat Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inaba.md) - [Humorous Cat Collectables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tired-cats-gachapon.md) - [Cat-Inspired Fuzzy Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dry-studio-petbrick-65.md) - [Pop Star-Themed Animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taylor-swiftthemed-cats.md)
