The theatre is built entirely out of wood with a [circular layout](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wangun-amphitheatre) that takes inspiration from plays put on by the Bard in the Elizabethan times at the Globe Theatre. The structure's overall aesthetic is a merging of French and English culture with a nod to ancient times when plays were performed in circular spaces. The curved design and tiered seating allows all audience members to have a great view of the performance. The theatre is located in a [forested area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavilion-jardins) and the use of [bamboo and wood in the architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juliet-center) complements the natural landscape. The theatre is enclosed thanks to a glazed roof and it also includes a staircase to the higher tiered seats. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Circular Amphitheatre Design:** There is an opportunity to create innovative circular designs for amphitheaters that blend cultures and ancient architectural inspiration. - **Sustainable Theatre Architecture:** Innovation may lie in the incorporation of sustainable materials, such as bamboo and wood, to create eco-friendly theatre spaces that complement natural landscapes. - **Glazed Roof Theatre Enclosures:** The use of glazed roofs to create enclosed theatre spaces presents an innovative opportunity for designers to incorporate a modern touch on ancient architectural inspirations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Entertainment:** These innovative designs present an opportunity for the art and entertainment industry to create more immersive and eco-friendly theatre experiences. - **Architecture and Design:** Incorporating circular designs and sustainable materials present innovative opportunities for architects and designers in the field to create new and innovative structures. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** The construction of these unique and innovative amphitheaters could attract more tourists to visit and attend performances, increasing revenue for the tourism and hospitality industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ring-Shaped Open-Air Amphitheaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luhu-ring-of-starlight.md) - [Archival Performance Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/take-a-bow-centre.md) - [Mass-Timber Lakeside Theaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/theater-of-the-arts.md) - [Archaeological Protection Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curtain-playhouse.md) - [Civic Theatre Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-court-theatre.md) - [Reflective Hemispherical Theater Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ball-theater.md) - [Boomerang-Shaped Amphitheaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wangun-amphitheatre.md) - [Everchanging Water-Based Theaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yichang-grand-theatre.md) - [Industrial-Themed Dance Theaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sadlers-wells.md)
