# Shaking Puppy Portraits Shake Puppies Captures These Adorable Pooches Mid-Shake By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-10-31 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shake-puppies References: [fastcocreate](http://www.fastcocreate.com/3037496/warning-these-photos-of-wet-puppies-shaking-their-pudgy-little-bodies-will-disrupt-your-mood?partner) & [fastcompany](http://www.fastcompany.com/person/carli-davidson) Photographer and dog-lover Carli Davidson has followed up her massively successful series 'Shake' -- which hilariously captured dogs in mid-shake -- with 'Shake Puppies.' Davidson explains, "The moment I thought that I would do the puppy sequel was actually the day before the first book came out." Davidson did her best to include as many rescued puppies as she could. The rest of the pups were chosen from ethical breeders and doggie day cares. The final collection of images feature an adorable -- and diverse! -- cast of canines, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I must caution you, however: looking through too many of the Shake Puppies might cause you to lose your mind from cuteness overload. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Pet Photography:** The trend of shaking pet photography has become popular and could provide opportunities for photographers to specialize in this niche area. - **Pet Accessories:** The trend of Shake Puppies' diversity could create opportunities in pet accessory design for different breeds or dog sizes. - **Pet Rescue:** Shake Puppies' focus on rescued dogs may increase interest in pet adoption and a disruption opportunity to pet stores selling puppies. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography:** Shake Puppies highlights pet photography as an emerging market with opportunities for specialization. - **Pet Products:** The diversity of Shake Puppies' cast could expand pet product offerings and markets. - **Pet Adoption:** Shake Puppies' focus on rescued dogs could disrupt the pet industry's reliance on selling puppies and encourage more pet adoption. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dog-Themed Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogthemed-puzzle.md) - [Influencer Dog Treat Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/influencer-dog-treat-collection.md) - [Dog-Inspired True Storybooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decoy-saves-opening-day.md) - [Spooky Charming Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-paw.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Food Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whats-barkings-shakers-food-toppers.md) - [Puppy Enrichment Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/central-bark-puppy-hour.md) - [Puppy Dating App Giveaways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puppy-dating-app-giveaways.md) - [Calming Dog Shampoo Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dotdotpet.md) - [Whimsical Dog-Inspired Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawfect-chill-time.md)
