Offering three patterns in total (pebble, [forest and kaleidoscope](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antao)), at least for now, people can enjoy a whimsical decorative touch in their bathroom that is much more refreshing than pictures and pretty soaps. The shadow-casting sink was designed by OMVIVO. A bright and light addition to any home, the shadow-casting sink is great for both existing traditional and modern decor. It is especially great if the bathroom space is filled with natural lighting, which gives the design a much more magical feel. Homes and Hues writes that "OMVIVO also sells a number of coresponding pedestals to match their basins, including a white one specially designed for the Motif." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Shadow-casting Sinks:** The trend of incorporating transparent, hand-etched basins in sinks to create shadow-casting patterns offers a unique and whimsical decorative touch to counter spaces. - **Decorative Bathroom Fixtures:** The trend of using visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing bathroom fixtures like the Motif shadow-casting sink adds a touch of beauty and elegance to bathroom spaces. - **Natural Lighting in Interior Design:** The trend of utilizing natural lighting in interior spaces, such as bathrooms with shadow-casting sinks, enhances the overall ambiance and adds a magical feel to the design. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can take advantage of the trend of shadow-casting sinks and offer innovative and visually appealing bathroom fixtures to consumers. - **Luxury Bathroom Design:** The luxury bathroom design industry can incorporate the trend of decorative bathroom fixtures, like the Motif shadow-casting sink, to provide a premium and unique experience for high-end customers. - **Architectural Lighting:** The architectural lighting industry can explore the trend of utilizing natural lighting in interior design, particularly in spaces with shadow-casting sinks, to create captivating and dynamic lighting effects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Sculptural 3D-Printed Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-printed-sink.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md)
