The idea of sewn wood to create furniture is just so crazy it might work. While sewing is a craft best reserved for soft and tactile materials it can also be used to great effect when speaking about wood.

Farg & Blanche uses sewing for their new line of [sewn wood tailoring furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lesire-collection). It can be hard to imagine a needle and thread passing through a thick piece of plywood but this is exactly what has happened for this set of furniture. The plywood is sewn together using a sewing machine to layer together [various layers of plywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formwork-collection), the effect is a multi-layered piece of furniture.

The finished products though intricately sewn together do not look to have [sewing marks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-chair-designs) which was one of the points of the project, but just knowing that you can sew the material together and receive a flawless piece of furniture is encouraging and awe-inspiring.
