The [hanging lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kala-lamp) features a [rotating design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-3) that will offer both [direct and indirect illumination](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivoting-lamps-collection) to instantly change up the lighting scheme as required or desired. The smooth surface side of the spherical light will offer direct illumination, while the origami-like opposite end will diffuse the brightness evenly for a more subtle glow that is perfect for dinnertime. The 'SETTO' lamp is the design work of Ida Bonnerup, Jeppe Jensen and Sara Brixen, and can be changed up with a single flick for enhanced ease of use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multifunctional Lighting:** The 'SETTO' lamp exemplifies the trend of multifunctional lighting solutions, providing both direct and indirect illumination. - **Adjustable Design:** The rotating design of the 'SETTO' lamp reflects the trend of adjustable lighting, allowing users to easily change the lighting scheme. - **Subtle Glow Lighting:** The origami-like end of the 'SETTO' lamp taps into the trend of subtle glow lighting, creating an ambiance perfect for dinnertime. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The 'SETTO' lamp's versatile and adjustable design provides innovative lighting solutions for interior design projects. - **Hospitality:** The multifunctional capabilities of the 'SETTO' lamp make it ideal for hospitality settings, allowing customizable lighting for different activities and moods. - **Product Design:** Designers and manufacturers in the product design industry can explore the opportunity to create more adjustable and multifunctional lighting solutions like the 'SETTO' lamp. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md) - [Three-in-One Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-lamp.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Conical Multifunctional Lamp Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-light.md) - [Foldable Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-folding-lamp.md)
