However, the Serralunga Barceloneta Chair is an incredibly elegant piece that I feel deserves great credit for its grace and contemporary clarity. Conceived in collaboration with Deep Design, this recliner mimics the shape and composition of the 1929 [Knoll](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-perron-bun) original. The molded polyurethane pad emulates the L-shape of the earlier leather-upholstered backrest and seat. What's different here is an exaggeration of the subtle curves. This quality is carried through the [sinuous metal frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s-64-chair) of the new model, which appears to offer some flexibility.
