Sentry Scientific brought a different kind of technological innovation to CES 2014 with the Sentry Scientific Walker. Instead of newfangled computers, TVs or phone apps, Sentry introduced a brand new model of walker, made specifically to improve the safety of the elderly individuals who use walkers to get around on a day-to-day basis.

The Sentry Scientific Walker has specially constructed [braking technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sofia-mobility) that locks the brakes for a gradual resistance to keep the individual upright and balanced whenever a downward slope is detected, so the user wont lose control when going down an incline. The system also auto-locks breaks when it detects someone is sitting on the walker and will not release until the user manually releases the catch. The Sentry Scientific Walker technology will vastly improve [elder safety](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wearable-sensor1) in the future.
