Made specifically in mind for those suffering from the side effects of dementia, this unique range of furniture consists of a credenza, console table and two side tables. Each has been made with wood and copper materials and features a white translucent top meant to represent a soothing winter landscape of snow. Sculpted mountains on top emit an [aromatic scent](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-diffuser) and a concealed light therapy lamp gives off a soothing glow from within. By using sensory therapy, Biard has attempted to both stimulate the senses and soothe the mind by providing a safe and comforting environment through design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sensory Therapy Furnishings:** Furniture designed to alleviate anxiety through sensory therapy creates opportunities for the healthcare and home furniture industries to collaborate on treating mental health issues with non-invasive, holistic solutions. - **Aromatherapy-enhanced Furniture:** The integration of aromatherapy with furniture creates opportunities for the wellness and home furniture industries to enhance consumer experiences and promote relaxation and mental well-being. - **Light Therapy Furnishings:** The use of light therapy in furniture design creates opportunities for the healthcare and home furniture industries to explore non-pharmaceutical methods of treating mental health disorders. ### Where This Applies - **Healthcare:** The healthcare industry can leverage sensory therapy furnishings as non-invasive mental health treatments to supplement pharmaceutical treatments. - **Wellness:** Wellness industry can integrate aromatherapy-enhanced furniture in spa and meditation room offerings providing consumers with unique experiences that promote relaxation and mental well-being. - **Home Furniture:** Introducing light therapy furnishings into the home furniture market will create opportunities for functional art designs that promote mental wellness and improve the living environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sensory Stimulation Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasix-table.md) - [Sensory Relaxation Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/idiya-smart-lamp.md) - [Mindful Wooden Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tanuvi-hegde.md) - [Braille-Integrated Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aedo-collection.md) - [Tech-Infused Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wits-furniture-collection.md) - [Mood-Enhancing Aromatherapy Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memoraphy.md) - [Adaptive Furniture Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/svelte-collection.md) - [Naturalistic Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/back-to-nature-collection.md) - [Ambient Lantern-Like Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calmtern.md)
