Keeping track of vices such as eating too much and smoking may become a lot easier thanks to the sensor-embedded tooth. Although it is still in the testing rounds, it is a smart monitor that monitors oral habits. The sensor-embedded tooth would then theoretically transmit its data to the person's dentist so that he or she has a better understanding of his or her patient.

Developed by scientists at the National Taiwan University in Taipei (Cheng-Yuan Li, Yen-Chang Chen, Wei-Ju Chen, Polly Huang and Hao-hua Chu), the sensor-embedded tooth recognizes the difference between eating, speaking, coughing, smoking, drinking, and breathing. According to Dvice, the sensor-embedded tooth will not only send reports to dentists and doctors, but also call people out on their bad oral habits.
