The [modular piece of hardware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrabar-x) is designed for people who work in almost any [creative field](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-console), and it's indeed best suited to people who do creative work in more than one category. The Sensel Morph consists of a [base trackpad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyper-trackpad-pro) that looks like a bigger version of a laptop trackpad. This base does have touch sensitivity, but it's far more than a touchscreen alone. The Sensel Morph is sold with overlays -- flexible silicon gels molded into shapes -- that engender everything from typing to painting to music production. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Trackpads:** The trend of modular trackpads allows for customization and enhanced functionality, providing opportunities for innovative user experiences. - **Creative Polymaths:** The trend of catering to creative polymaths recognizes the need for tools that support diverse creative tasks, opening possibilities for integrated solutions. - **Flexible Silicon Gels:** The trend of using flexible silicon gels for overlays offers adaptable interfaces for various creative disciplines, enabling dynamic user interactions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Computer Peripheral:** The computer peripheral industry can explore the disruptive opportunity of developing modular trackpads that revolutionize user input and interaction. - **Creative Technology:** The creative technology industry can capitalize on the demand for versatile tools catered to creative polymaths, fostering innovative solutions for multi-disciplinary professionals. - **Product Design:** The product design industry can leverage the use of flexible silicon gels to create user-friendly and adaptable overlays that enhance the functionality of various devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unified Input Mouse Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/melt-mouse.md) - [Customizable Creative Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-macro-keyboard-system.md) - [Domed Haptic Feedback Trackpads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trackpad.md) - [Creative Modular Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-louder.md) - [Adaptable Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keyboard-concept.md) - [Customizable Two-Part Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/naya-create-keyboard.md) - [Sleek Tablet Productivity Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mokibo-fusion-keyboard-2.md) - [Highly Customizable Gamer Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-control-station.md) - [Gesture Control Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clvx-1-keyboard.md)
