Recently, Vivienne Westwood caused an uproar when she sent out beefy, tough-looking Roma gypsies on the Milan catwalks to model her 2009 menswear. Now, Paris-based Japanese designer [Yohji Yamamoto](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wildside-by-yohji-yamamoto) opened the four day [men's fashion show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/at-the-edge-of-time) in Paris with a cast of well-over-60 male models who sauntered onto the runway rocking Yamamoto's Spring 2009 menswear collection. Among the models was artist-turned film-maker Steve McQueen who just won a prize at the Cannes Film Festival. I say, good for them! This should have been done a long time ago.
