It was designed by Jose Selgas and Lucia Cano, architectural partners who wanted to build a structure in a forest near Madrid, Spain -- yet the project was not for a client, but [for themselves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-saransh). With [solarium style glass walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-for-roundtable) that bend over in semi-arches, Selgascano's office in the woods allows for ample daylight to come in, a view of the stars by night, and a constant sense of being surrounded by nature. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Office in the Woods:** Creating unique office spaces immersed in nature can enhance employee well-being and productivity. - **Solarium Style Glass Walls:** Incorporating curved glass walls in office designs can maximize natural light and provide a connection to the outdoors. - **Self-initiated Architectural Projects:** Architects increasingly undertake personal projects to showcase their creativity and push the boundaries of design. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architects can explore innovative ways to integrate natural elements into office designs, enhancing the work environment for employees. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can experiment with curved glass walls to create unique and visually stunning office spaces that promote a connection with nature. - **Sustainability:** Sustainable design practices can be applied in creating eco-friendly office spaces that prioritize the use of natural light and harmonize with the surrounding environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illuminated Cave-Like Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/javier-senosiain-arquitectos.md) - [Wooden Site Home OFfices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moss-rock.md) - [Plant-Centric Dynamic Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-of-edyn.md) - [Tranquil Argentinian Forest Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-house-1.md) - [Tranquil Plant-Filled Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyer-co.md) - [Valley-Inspired Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitaoka-group-office.md) - [Biophilic Workplace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mangrove-garden.md) - [Countryside Woodland Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aralar-cottage.md) - [Greenhouse Office Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-for-roundtable.md)
