This new self-healing material was unveiled by a team of researchers at [Penn State](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lionglass) that has the ability to be cut in half and still be put back together without the need for glues or tools.

The material is a nano-composite material that could have a number of modern uses in the technology world from being used to create [wearables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yarn-battery), to other innovative purposes.

The self-healing material was created by a team led by professor Qing Wang and shows the ability to be moved, bent, stretched and flexed. When cut in half, the material can be placed back together and, after a short period of time, will be repaired like new and be ready to be used once again.
