# Pixelated Storage Furniture The Trip Pixel Furniture Series for Seletti Features a Woman's Face By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-04-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seletti References: [ifitshipitshere.blogspot](http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.ca/2014/04/trip-pixel-furniture-by-studio-badini.html) & [seletti.it](http://www.seletti.it/furniture/the_trip_pixel.php) Studio Badini Createam and Selab collaborated for the development of a [three piece furniture set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica) for Seletti, referencing classical furniture and painting, with a contemporary twist. The tall wardrobe, [two drawer and three drawer chests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets) from the 'Trip Pixel' series are gorgeously made from wood and MDF, but what gives these pieces some modern appeal is the images of a woman's face that have been superimposed onto the furniture pieces. In keeping with the [dark tones of the wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crayon-pine), the image of the woman is also dark and romantic and it seems she may once have been part of a Renaissance painting. Each item is in the range of about $1,000 - $2,500 and definitely make for strong statement pieces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pixelated Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to incorporate digital imagery into furniture design, creating unique and customizable pieces. - **Contemporary Classics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Reinterpret traditional furniture designs with modern elements to create visually striking and unconventional pieces. - **Art-inspired Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine art and furniture design to create furniture pieces that evoke emotion and tell a story. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Embrace technology and digital design tools to push the boundaries of traditional furniture design. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with artists and designers to create furniture pieces that serve as statement art in interior spaces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the growing demand for unique and personalized home decor by offering furniture pieces that incorporate artistic elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Geometric Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liz-collection.md) - [Wood-Printed Furniture Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/de-stul.md) - [Funky Colorful Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-storage-units.md) - [Psychedelic Hand-Painted Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-iii.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stellar-works.md) - [Customization-Friendly Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spray-furniture.md) - [Colorful Smart Storage Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linea-storage.md) - [Elegant Tonal Table Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silos-collection.md) - [Pixelated Furnished Eyewear Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunet-eyewear.md)
