The [Seki](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seki-milk)-Han is a lighting design by [Afra](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bar-di-bello) and [Tobia Scarpa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lighting-innovation) for FLOS, originally introduced in 1963 and produced for a limited period. The piece is defined by two slender wooden blades that frame a central light source, creating a linear form with controlled diffusion. The structure references the shape of rice grains, with material and proportion guiding the overall composition. Lumens is now introducing the design to the U.S. market for the first time through a reissued version.

The updated model replaces the original neon tube with integrated LED technology, producing a warmer and more consistent output. Sustainably sourced ash is used in place of earlier timber, while the proportions have been adjusted to increase height and refine the vertical profile. The system is also available as a horizontal suspension variant, expanding its application beyond the original floor format while maintaining the same structural logic.
