# Golfing Transport Pods Make Traveling Around the Course Fun With the Segway X2 Golf By Matt Ho | Published 2011-05-16 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segway-x2-golf References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/segway-x2-golf/) & [segway](http://www.segway.com/business/products-solutions/x2-golf.php) Who needs a caddy to carry your clubs when you can use the Segway X2 Golf? Sure, golf carts makes going around the greens easier, but I honestly think going by Segway is more fun and stylish in this case. The Segway X2 Golf is outfitted in sleek black with a [bag carrier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/7eleven-x-sunday-golf) on the side to conveniently hold your clubs. It also has an integrated scorecard holder as well as compartments for [tees and balls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/golf-rangefinders). It travels up to 12.5 mph with a range of up to 14 miles, or for the golf heads out there, about 36 holes. At $8,000, it might be better to just tip the caddy. But for those who can afford this vehicle, it's worth getting for a fun alternative to golf carts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Electric Golf Carts:** The rise of electric golf carts as a more eco-friendly and efficient mode of transportation around the golf course. - **Personal Mobility Devices:** The increasing popularity of personal mobility devices like the Segway X2 Golf for leisure activities and recreational sports. - **Luxury Golf Accessories:** The demand for high-end and stylish accessories like the Segway X2 Golf that enhance the golfing experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Golf Equipment:** The golf equipment industry can seize the opportunity to develop innovative and technologically advanced electric golf carts. - **Personal Transportation:** The personal transportation industry can tap into the market by designing and manufacturing personal mobility devices for recreational activities. - **Luxury Goods:** The luxury goods industry can cater to affluent golfers by creating premium and sophisticated golf accessories to enhance their experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Remote-Controlled Golf Caddies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mgi-zip-navigator.md) - [Autonomous Golf Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixi.md) - [Low-Speed Golf Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cru.md) - [Modern Conceptual Robot Caddies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/goalf-robot-caddie-concept.md) - [AI-Fuelled Robot Gold Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixi-robot.md) - [Solar-Powered Golf Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solarpowered-golf-cart.md) - [Golf Car Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-golf-car.md) - [Rugged Feature-Rich E-Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xafari.md) - [Hydrogen-Powered Concept Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drive-h2.md)
