The lamp works by being positioned onto a desktop and set up using the accompanying app; users can set goals they want to achieve. The light will turn on when a goal is achieved, while the LED-mounted side of the seesaw-like design will get brighter as the person moves closer to their goal or through their planned routine. The conceptual 'Motivo' seesaw lamp is the design work of HyunJin [Kim](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satellite-headphones) and Hanyoung Lee, and could provide much-needed motivation to those looking to optimize their daily workflow or move towards a set goal. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Desktop Productivity Lamps:** Design and create lamps that serve the dual purpose of lighting up the workspace and promoting task completion. - **Integrated Goal-setting Products:** Develop a range of products that integrate goal-setting technology to improve productivity and encourage personal and professional development. - **Smart Lighting for Improved Performance:** Innovate and create smart lighting solutions that use data to optimize an individual's performance in a workplace setting. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Incorporate smart lamps with features such as goal-setting and tracking to revamp and modernize existing workplace designs. - **Consumer Electronics:** Develop smart lamps and lighting solutions that can learn user habits and patterns and dynamically adjust lighting to optimize productivity. - **Office Products:** Create integrated lighting products and technologies that can be incorporated into existing office products and or workspaces, serving to improve productivity and wellness among employees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Task-Managing Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fall-lamp-concept.md) - [Supplemental Desktop Computer Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workmate-smart-lamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md) - [Demure Designer Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-desk-lamp.md) - [Portable Pen-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-lamp-concept.md) - [Productivity and Wellness Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/team-home.md) - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md)
