IKEA has announced 'Seedballs,' a new insect-focused iteration of the brand's famous Swedish meatballs. The Seedballs were created through a partnership with the [World Wildlife Fund](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/native-plant) ([WWF](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-sandlpare)) in Denmark, in an effort to help save endangered insect species. The Seedballs are comprised of seeds, soil, and clay formed into a ball-shaped form that allows the item to be easily deployed to different environments. Once set, the Seedball will grow various plants that are beneficial to insect wildlife.

The Seedballs can be purchased by regular consumers at [IKEA Denmark](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-around-menu) as well. When these Seedballs are purchased, customers will receive a print-out with instructions on how to grow and foster their own Seedball garden. Through this partnership and new product release, the companies are attempting to improve the conditions for Denmark's nature and wildlife habitats through collaborative action.
