You movements can be awkward and resultant sprinkling of the [tiny vegetable seeds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bough-pot) can end up in inefficient clumps with a low prospect of eventually forming plants. This handheld contraption is shaped like one quadrant of a circle with its three sides comprising an ergonomic handle, a hatch for inserting the little kernels and a rounded section with a pair of spikes. The spikes thrust out with the touch of a button and help you to draw channels in the soil for prime planting. Another button at one corner of Prisca Soyoung Bae's Seed Dispenser releases the contents at a moderate rate. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Ergonomic Gardening Tools:** There is an opportunity to innovate and create more effective and comfortable gardening tools for consumers. - **Automated Planting Devices:** Developing automated planting devices could be a disruptive innovation opportunity for those in the agriculture industry. - **Seed Dispenser Technology Advancements:** Improving the technology and functionality of seed dispensers could enhance their usefulness and popularity among gardeners. ### Where This Applies - **Home and Garden Retail:** Retailers in the home and garden industry can capitalize on the demand for more efficient and user-friendly gardening tools. - **Agriculture Technology:** Agriculture technology companies could develop and market automated planting devices to improve efficiency and accuracy in planting. - **Industrial Design:** Industrial designers can create more effective seed dispensers with ergonomic designs and improved mechanisms for releasing seeds. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Optimizing Gardener Grids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seeding-square.md) - [Self-Watering Compact Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patella-crescenda.md) - [Modern Kitchen Sprouting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sproutypod.md) - [Spherical Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-basil-selfwatering-globe.md) - [Minimalist Gardener Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-cultivator.md) - [Intelligent Microgreens Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autosprout.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-watering-plant-house.md) - [Hole-Digging Power Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-automatic-shovel.md) - [3D-Printed Reforestation Seed Balls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disperseed.md)
