# Antique Tricycle Libraries The See-Clo Combines Vintage Objects into a Playful Contemporary Shelf By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-01-06 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seeclo References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/reclaimed-abandoned-materials-get-a-loving-makeover/) & [manoteca](http://www.manoteca.com/index.php/site/product/name/see_clo_/f/h) You could simply stack your [reading materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skola) on the floor, you could arrange them into a [basic shelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life), or you could choose a more unique method for storing them, in something like the See-Clo. Of course, you won't find anything quite like this quirky composite creation. Manoteca designed this funky furnishing object from a genuine 1960 [iron tricycle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-from-frames), a retro lamp and a few customized components. The base of the three-wheeler was swapped out for a thick wooden board, providing a larger surface for stashing even more items. Books, magazines and newspapers can be piled up on this plank or tucked into the bench-like seat of the See-Clo. And the best part? The pushbike can be driven freely about the room thanks to a generous 5-meter electrical cord for its light. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Vintage Object Combos:** There is an opportunity to create unique furniture by combining old, vintage objects with modern design elements. - **Quirky Storage Solutions:** There is a trend towards creating unique and playful storage solutions for everyday items. - **Functional and Decorative Hybrid Objects:** There is a growing demand for creative objects that serve a dual purpose as functional and decorative items. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers have the opportunity to incorporate antique and vintage objects into their designs in a unique way. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can create playful and functional storage solutions that add a unique touch to any interior. - **Vintage Collectibles:** Collectibles stores can offer unique and quirky objects that serve both a decorative and functional purpose in the home or office. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md) - [Twisting Donut-Shaped Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hullabaloo-bookshelf.md) - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Open-Air Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-billyotheque.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Retro-Style Electric Trikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/etrike-revolution.md) - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Tubular Literature Storage Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interspace-magazine-rack.md) - [Transforming Furniture Bicycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outlaw-bike.md)
