# Fast Flattenable Furnishings The Sedia3 Chair Collapses Completely for Convenient Storage By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-11-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedia3-chair References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2013/11/06/3d-to-2d-seating-in-seconds/) & [siamodoro](http://www.siamodoro.com/) The option of having [extra or overflow seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pla-modular-chair) in your home is certainly a helpful one, yet where are you supposed to keep these pieces between the parties and gatherings that you host? The Sedia3 Chair assists you with this issue by reducing its dimensions for easy stashing. Looking at the DORODESIGN item, you'll probably appreciate its reasonably solid wooden structure, its subtly angular lines and its softly curved seat. The object is crisp and modern in assembly, and you wouldn't necessarily expect it to do what it does. Nevertheless, a [simple adjustment to the back](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patan-chair) of the perch and the two front legs of the Sedia3 Chair will give out. This collapses the seating system into a [remarkably flat form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-collection-1) so that it can be slipped into a closet, under a couch, or hung against the wall. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Collapsible Furniture:** Opportunity for innovative furniture designs that can collapse or fold for convenient storage. - **Space-saving Solutions:** Opportunity for products and designs that maximize space efficiency in small living environments. - **Minimalist Design:** Opportunity for furniture with clean lines and simple aesthetics that appeal to modern consumers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create collapsible furniture that meets the needs of urban-dwellers with limited space. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate collapsible furniture and space-saving solutions in their designs for small spaces. - **Home Organization:** Opportunity for companies to develop innovative storage solutions that accommodate collapsible furniture and help homeowners maximize space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sliding Flatpack Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folio-chair.md) - [Expanding Three-in-One Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expandy.md) - [Ultra-Minimalist Folding Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notch-folding-chair.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Compact Collapsing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acordion-modular-sofa.md) - [Industrial Flatpack Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tekron-folding-chair.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md) - [Storage-Attached Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-chair.md) - [High-Quality Flatpack Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagoda-chair.md)
