In El Nido, Palawan, the Seda Lio hotel and resort just opened -- a three-story hotel that highlights the island's tropical vibe with views of the surrounding paradise. Several dozen miles from the white sand beach of Lio, it has a large pool, pool bar, spa villas, and spaces for kids in one package. On the island of Palawan, pristine beaches are a hallmark, along with rainforests, lagoons, yoga pavilions, Swedish massage treatments, traditional Filipino massages, herbal baths, scuba diving, and mountain biking are common -- most of which can be found at the new resort. With wellness resorts opening around the world, the tropical hotel and resort in El Nido is just one example of a new resort that's ready for tourists looking for a bit of escapism and luxury treatment.
