The 'Two Be' sectional sofa doubles as a [shelving unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelving-unit-01) with a wooden shelf that sits behind the seats and juts out to the side. It allows for books, drinks or small plants to be kept on the shelf, while providing a side-table like structure as well. It can even act as a ledge to hold paintings if there is no wall nearby. Finally, the couch itself can be sectioned off to transform into [two separate chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agni-modular) or it can become longer in width for legs to sprawl out while watching a movie. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modularity in Furniture Design:** New opportunities for customizable and transformable furniture designs that cater to smaller living spaces. - **Integrating Functionality in Furniture:** Innovations in furniture that combine multiple functionalities, such as combining seating and shelving. - **Space-saving Solutions in Home Furnishings:** Designs that prioritize efficiency and optimize limited space in small apartments or homes. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore new ways to incorporate modularity and functionality into their furniture designs. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can recommend and implement space-saving furniture solutions for their clients living in smaller spaces. - **Home Decor and Accessories:** Home decor retailers can offer furniture pieces that cater to the growing demand for customization and multi-functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Multifunctional Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hulala-home-elitenest.md) - [Built-In Storage Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cask-sofa.md) - [Modular Plant-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bob-corner-sofa.md) - [All-in-One Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rezy-sofa.md) - [Modular Configuration Shelving Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repisa-01.md) - [Customizable Storage Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelved-modular-furniture.md) - [Modular Eco-Sourced Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-transformer-couch.md) - [Versatile Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-couch-20.md) - [Modular Coffee Table Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silky-sofa.md)
