The concept of a secret garden is an alluring feature for urban spaces, especially since there is usually a big shortage of green spaces. In Mexico City, local firm CPDA Arquitectos developed a lush, [secluded courtyard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arthur-residence), enveloped in the stone-clad exterior of the [residential building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-sofia) the green space serves.

The project is called Casa Jardin Escandón and it is located in Mexico City. For the aesthetic of the building, the architects relied on a contemporary approach, with Art Deco sensibilities. The secret garden, which is not visible from the street, spans 2,300 square meters. Residents can enjoy the lush experience thanks to a pathway that “winds through the outdoor space.” When observed from above, the secret garden boasts a narrow and elongated rectangular shape, while the pathway playfully zigzags, adding an interesting design element.
