In a new Secret ad titled 'Pitch,' two Millennials, named Ash and Emma, are depicted stepping into an elevator that's located in what looks to be a prestigious corporate building.
Throughout the short commercial, the young women practice their handshakes, cite the visits that their website has accumulated, their conversion rate and imagine what the older men who they're about to meet with might say to them in response. One sexism-riddled comment that they expect to here is "I doubt you girls could pull that off," which Ash and Emma are prepared to respond to with a folder of data.
With this, the Pitch Secret ad speaks to the inequality women beginning their careers often face, while showing Ash and Emma as empowering figures who aren't afraid to add themselves "to the boys' club," as the brand puts it.
