That's the idea behind the Second Solar spaceship at [Sensapolis](http://www.sensapolis.de), designed by [Different Futures](http://www.differentfutures.com/). This 9,000-square-foot behemoth is the largest spaceship in the world designed especially for kids. It's located appropriately within Sensapolis, an [indoor theme park](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superpower-studios-initiative) in Böblingen, Germany. Construction only took three months, and Second Solar was completed in June of 2008. Second Solar features three-story stainless steel slides, with strobe flashlights throughout the slides' tubes to create good, clean thrills and chills. The team at Different Futures set up a blog for the design portion of Second Solar; you can check it out at the Read More URL below. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Giant Spaceships for Kids:** Creating massive and interactive spaceship attractions for kids to spark their interest in solar exploration. - **Solar Theme Parks:** Designing indoor theme parks with solar-themed attractions to educate and entertain children. - **Stainless Steel Slides:** Developing innovative and thrilling slides with strobe flashlights to enhance the excitement of the sliding experience for kids. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Theme Parks:** Integrating educational and immersive solar-themed attractions into indoor theme parks for children. - **Architectural Design:** Utilizing unique design concepts and materials like stainless steel to create innovative and exciting attractions for kids. - **Clean Energy Education:** Promoting green energy education and awareness through interactive and engaging solar-themed attractions for children. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space Rv Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dianai-solar-sailer.md) - [Spaceship-Like Robot Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seoul-robot-ai.md) - [Galactic-Themed Sci-Fi Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-cloud.md) - [Astronomy-Based Children's Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-solar-system-set.md) - [Space-Inspired Toy Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-collections.md) - [Structural Energetic Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archipelago-playscape.md) - [Futuristic Glowing Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joya-1.md) - [Futuristic Cultural Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lucas-museum-of-narrative-arts.md) - [Playful Cosmic Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unidentified-playing-objects.md)
