This privately-commissioned Akbank Campus Bench is the work of Turkish designer Joshua Saling. It is designed with the idea of magnetizing interaction of students on college and university campuses. The modified X-shape form of the low-maintenance [Dupont](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foam-sealant) Corian white benches can be combined in multiple configurations. The [modular design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pla-modular-chair) of the Campus Bench is effective in the adaptation to limited spaces and to personalize on-the-fly to meet the requirements of the users themselves. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Seating:** Modular seating designs that encourage social interaction and adaptability are disrupting traditional public seating arrangements. - **Personalization:** Designs that allow for on-the-fly personalization are providing opportunities for users to customize their seating experiences. - **Limited Space Adaptation:** Modular seating options that can adapt to limited spaces are addressing the need for flexible furniture solutions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore modular seating designs that foster social interaction and personalization to meet changing consumer preferences. - **Education:** Educational institutions can take advantage of modular seating options to create dynamic and adaptable social spaces on campuses. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can benefit from modular seating designs that provide flexibility for different events and gatherings, allowing for personalized seating arrangements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interaction-Promoting Public Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bench-seating.md) - [Modular Outdoor Space Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mass-public-bench.md) - [Contemporary Customization Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-benches.md) - [Bike-Friendly Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinajarro-bench.md) - [Contemporary Modular Bench Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipside-modular-bench.md) - [Inclusive Modular Cityscape Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-bench.md) - [Childhood Connection-Promoting Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddy-bench1.md) - [Dual-Seated Plate Aluminum Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/move-a-little-bit-further.md) - [Sculptural Public Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-public-seating.md)
