# Human Organizational Plugins Peruse Enables Users to Search Digital Files with Natural Language By Alyson Wyers | Published 2015-05-28 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/search-digital-files References: [springwise](http://www.springwise.com/plugin-find-file-knowing-title/) & [peruse.io](https://peruse.io/) This plugin will help you search digital files, even if you don't remember the name of what you're looking for. Peruse enables users to find files in the cloud using natural language rather than keywords. Locating files now has a much more human-looking makeover. To search digital files with Peruse, start with whatever descriptions and phrases come to you instinctively, such as "Lists I sent to Jaime." The search software is adapted to better fit the way humans normally organize information. For it to work, it needs to be plugged into your cloud storage. At this point in time, the software works with Box and Dropbox. In the future Peruse hope to integrate with even more storage services. They also want to develop it to let users look for particular facts inside documents (specifically spreadsheets). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Natural Language Searching:** Using natural language instead of keywords to search digital files. - **Human-like File Organization:** Adapting search software to fit the way humans organize information. - **Integration with Multiple Storage Services:** Expanding compatibility with more cloud storage providers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Cloud Storage:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to improve file search functionality for cloud storage providers. - **Information Management:** Opportunity to revolutionize the way people organize and search digital files. - **Data Analytics:** Potential for enhancing data extraction and analysis by searching for specific facts within documents. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Image Library Search Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/image-libraries.md) - [Document-Finding Search Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/docufinder.md) - [Centralized AI Workplace Searches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/findr.md) - [Document Intelligence Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nexus-ai.md) - [Document Search Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keylight-ai.md) - [Professional Search Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ayraa.md) - [AI-Powered Knowledge Navigators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/promptx-enterprise.md) - [Bookmark Search Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snapmark.md) - [Internal AI Search Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gosearch.md)
