# Flying Bird Lamps The Seagull Light is the Lamp of Choice for Beach Bums By Michael Hines | Published 2010-09-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seagull-light References: [bornrich.org](http://www.bornrich.org/entry/qisdesign-presents-seagull-and-coral-reef-led-lighting-fixtures/) & [qisdesign](http://www.qisdesign.com/ProductDetail.aspx?FirstMenuKey=8219E1A2801BB69F7F29D84A9A522EDA4E23DB8752A601D1059A9FD7F887A03B816BCE4DC9E19AF9&SecondMenuKey=C74E3A06D00B4623E268512A8D728887BB4E4CB6F4BBE28F0B609558839EFBF483ED16B1ED25CAB6&lightKey=490E04E696558271E8BE40105CACEC78CE8C12CD70EA7BDA1D0B993733B3526258C49969188C23DE#1) I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want the Seagull Light on my desk right this moment. This light was designed by QisDESIGN and actually looks, and moves just like a seagull. The Seagull Light runs off of an LED bulb and can change the position of its 'wings' to provide light in all different kinds of directions. This simple and creative design is definitely a breath of fresh air. Seagulls might be a loss at the beach, but they are definitely a win when it comes to the Seagull Light. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Animal-inspired Lamps:** Design lamps inspired by animals provide a creative and unique lighting solution for indoor and outdoor spaces. - **Adjustable LED Lighting:** The use of adjustable LED bulbs in lamps allows for versatile lighting options and energy efficiency. - **Kinetic Desk Lamps:** Kinetic lamps that move and change shape add a playful and interactive element to office and home decor. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can use animal-inspired and kinetic lamps to create a unique and memorable space for clients. - **Office Supplies & Equipment:** Companies in the office supply industry can offer adjustable LED desk lamps to provide energy-efficient and customizable lighting solutions for their customers. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Companies in the outdoor recreation industry can incorporate animal-inspired lamps into their product offerings for a creative and unique lighting option for campsites and beach settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Opulent Outdoor Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gubi-seine-portable-lamp.md) - [Kinetic Insect Sculpture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragonfly-balance-light.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leda.md) - [Sustainable Solar Portable Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iggy-lamp.md) - [Three-in-One Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-lamp.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Elegant Avian-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flamingo-mini-light.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md)
