# Pin-Supported Dining Tables This Sculptural Furniture Piece Boasts a Multicolored Support System By Jana Pijak | Published 2016-04-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-furniture References: [danieleragazzo](http://www.danieleragazzo.com/?p=1154) Daniele Ragazzo is a designer known for creating sculptural furniture pieces that make a bold statement in any home. The designer's 'liason' dining table boasts an "unusual pairing of forms and colors while emphasizing the concepts of “diversity” and “bonding” through the equilibrium of different forces." The table's sleek glass top sits on a unique supportive frame that consists of sharp metal poles. Each of these poles sits on a differently hued sphere. This colorful base is chaotic yet visually bold, creating a fun aesthetic that is uniquely juxtaposed with the table's simpler elements. This glass and metal dining table stays true to Daniele Ragazzo's sculptural furniture aesthetic and is a piece that blends aesthetics and practicality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sculptural Furniture:** Opportunity for designers to create visually striking furniture pieces that make a bold statement in any home. - **Colorful Supportive Frames:** Incorporating unique and vibrant support systems in furniture designs for a visually bold aesthetic. - **Blending Aesthetics and Practicality:** Designing furniture pieces that combine visually appealing elements with functional features. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to explore new and innovative ways to create visually appealing and functional pieces. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate sculptural furniture pieces as statement pieces in home decor. - **Home Furnishings:** Opportunity for home furnishing companies to offer unique and visually bold furniture pieces that cater to modern aesthetic preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artwork-Inspired Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d12-dining-table.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Juxtaposing Material Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compression-dining-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Dynamic Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ryb-coffee-table.md) - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [Skeletal Industrial Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/landr-dining-and-conference-table.md) - [Effortless Glass Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbital.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md)
