# Sculptural Fruit Stands A Mischievous Marriage Turns Farmers' Market Finds into Art By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2009-11-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-fruit-stands References: [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33569661) These sculptural fruit stands from A Mischievous Marriage instantly turn produce into a beautiful [still life art piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lithic-bloom). Each stand is made of [Douglas fir](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barricane-tables) and is finished in food-safe beeswax finish--the same that is used on salad bowls--for a five-piece set that will add drama to any tablescape. I love the interchangeable, slightly DIY feel to these sculptural fruit stands. Each trip to the farmer's market is now a chance to switch up your interior design *and* fill your tummy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sculptural Tableware:** Innovative designs that transform everyday objects into works of art. - **Farmers' Market Art:** The marrying of food and art to create beautiful and unique dining experiences. - **DIY Interchangeability:** Customizable products that allow consumers to switch up their interior design effortlessly. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Designing everyday items with a modern sculpture-like approach in mind. - **Food and Beverage:** Creating unique food experiences with visually stunning presentations. - **Craft and DIY:** Providing consumers with the necessary tools to customize products to fit their preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fruit-Inspired Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fruitinspired-furniture-collection.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Design Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-grounds.md) - [Artful Sculptural Umbrella Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inbetween-umbrella.md) - [DIY Plant Decor Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/make-it-yourself-plant-stand.md) - [Sophisticated Upcycled Home Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures.md) - [Structurally Artful Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yohann.md) - [Artful Sculptural Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/massproductions-x-arket.md) - [Sculptural Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archetypes.md) - [Sustainable Kitchen Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection.md)
