A new initiative by screen protector manufacturer [Belkin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/belkin-autotracking-stand-pro), the ScreenCare+ application system will be available exclusively at Apple retail locations. The system works by taking the guesswork out of screen protector installation by placing the accessory precisely in place by means of a small machine. While the service was first rolled out in Japan, it's now launching in the United States to provide users with more peace of mind regarding their devices. The service can be utilized by simply purchasing a Belkin screen protector; a sales associate will then clean the phone and apply it on the spot, precisely. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) > [Retail](https://www.trendhunter.com/retail) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Screen Protector Installation Services:** Opportunity for retailers to offer convenient and precise installation of screen protectors for smartphones, enhancing customer experience and device protection. - **Automated Screen Protector Application:** Development of machines that facilitate the precise placement of screen protectors on smartphones, reducing human error and improving efficiency in the installation process. - **Enhanced Device Protection Solutions:** Increasing demand for innovative solutions to protect smartphone screens, such as self-healing materials or impact-resistant coatings, in order to prolong the lifespan of devices and reduce repair costs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Retail:** Retailers can take advantage of the growing demand for screen protectors by offering installation services, driving customer loyalty and generating additional revenue. - **Consumer Electronics:** Manufacturers in the consumer electronics industry can explore partnerships with screen protector brands or develop their own automated installation systems to provide added value to customers. - **Materials and Coatings:** Opportunities exist for companies in the materials and coatings industry to develop innovative screen protection solutions, such as self-healing films or scratch-resistant coatings, to meet the increasing demand in the smartphone market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flagship Smartphone Protection Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oppo-find-x8-series-service.md) - [Anti-Fingerprint Shatterproof Screen Protectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glassgo-x.md) - [DIY Tech Repair Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-self-service-repair.md) - [Advanced Smartphone Protection Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screen-protectors-and-case.md) - [Hardware-Verifying Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hardware-verifying.md) - [Jewelry-Like Smartphone Protectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rmour-candy-corner-protectors.md) - [Kevlar-Made Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benks-armorgrid-series.md) - [Phone Protection Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixel-care-plus.md) - [Video-Powered eCommerce Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-shop-with-a-specialist-over-video.md)
