Hove uses the rather simple medium of rope to create [spirals, webs, and room-enveloping designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curly-cube). This Scott Hove rope work would be very worrisome if you didn’t know a human made it. I can just imagine the [giant spider](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/murder-hornet-ring) working its way around these conveniently empty rooms. This Scott Hove rope work would be a dream to that spider from 'Arachnophobia.' ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Rope Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of ropes as a medium for creating unique and intricate designs. - **Room-enveloping Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative techniques for transforming spaces through immersive and visually stunning room-enveloping designs. - **Spider-inspired Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine inspiration from nature and art to create captivating spider-inspired artwork using various mediums. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate unconventional materials and techniques into traditional art forms to push the boundaries of artistic expression. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate room-enveloping designs into interior spaces to create immersive and awe-inspiring environments. - **Textile Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with artists and designers to explore new applications of ropes and other textiles in creative and functional ways. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Breathtaking Woven Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-installation.md) - [Sophisticated Upcycled Home Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures.md) - [Insect-Inspired Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-bronze-sculptures.md) - [Soft Rope Lampshades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hat-collection.md) - [Sculptural Experimental Artforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ladder-series.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Interactive Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-kinetic-sculptures.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md)
