Wearing a blanket while you're scooting about town seems like a strange idea, but if it's going to extend the season that you can ride a vehicle that is open to the air, perhaps this isn't such a terrible idea — although it does look a little silly. There are several types of scooter-warming accessories which are gaining popularity in China: one, that modestly covers the driver's lap, another that provides an apron-like covering and an outrageous design that is essentially like a [full winter coat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zzzn-puffer-jacket) for your scooter. As silly as these might seem, for a price of just about $3, this may be a more practical investment than buying a car for those [cold winter rides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heated-ski-jacket). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Scooter-warming Accessories:** The trend of developing innovative scooter-warming accessories is growing, providing opportunities for businesses to create new products for riders who live in colder climates. - **Winter Vehicle Accessories:** The trend of developing winter vehicle accessories provides opportunities for businesses to create products that extend the usability of open-air vehicles in cold weather. - **Affordable Winter Mobility Solutions:** The trend of providing affordable winter mobility solutions, such as scooter-warming accessories, can disrupt traditional transportation methods in colder regions and provide new opportunities for businesses. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Recreation:** The outdoor recreation industry can capitalize on the trend of scooter-warming accessories by developing new products that keep riders warm while engaging in outdoor activities during colder months. - **Automotive Accessories:** The automotive accessories industry can leverage the trend of winter vehicle accessories by creating new products that improve the functionality of open-air vehicles in cold weather. - **Personal Mobility:** The personal mobility industry can benefit from the trend of affordable winter mobility solutions by creating new products and services that provide accessible transportation options in colder regions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [One-Piece Adult Outerwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puffer-chubbsie.md) - [Thermoregulating Car Cloaks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/car-cloak.md) - [Picnic-Ready e-Scooter Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vespa-smeg-futro.md) - [Canopy-Covered Cargo Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargo-scooters.md) - [Anthropomorphic Hand-Warming Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kawaii-hot-sauce-hand-warmers.md) - [Versatile Heating Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versatile-heating-blanket.md) - [Utilitarian Cargo-Hauling Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scootility.md) - [Urban Rental Scooter Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-rental-scooter-concept.md) - [Rectangular Cockpit Scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tricycle-scooter-design.md)
