Shannon Couture's scissor art (Kingmaker Studio) had an idea to create [three dimensional sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dtcable-collection) out of “found” objects. By grouping several together, a pattern forms much like [crystalline and natural structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-sandsara). Here is art that imitates nature, for the very best of the scissor art are the spiders.

The scissor art sculpture series is a limited edition pending the artist being able to get the required scissors in the quantities needed and at the right price. I had no idea making these sculptures could be harmful - the artist had to go to the emergency room because whilst grinding, a small piece of metal worked itself past the protective goggles. The doctor had to remove the lodged metal with an 18 gauge needle. Ouch.
