With the help of a friend, Hank was able to convent an ordinary public school bus into a mobile home. The inside of the bus is outfitted with two skylights, a queen-size bed, dining area, kitchen, storage spaces and a bathroom. Many of the wooden furniture pieces inside of the bus are modular, since space is a little tight. However, the bus can still hold about 12 people at once comfortably. Hank is taking his new school bus home across America to test its ability to withstand a number of different environments, as well as show off this unique mobile home. Hank keeps a log of his cross-country travels on his website, 'HankBoughtaBus.com.' ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Upcycled Homes:** Creating unique and affordable homes out of unexpected materials like school buses and shipping containers. - **Modular Furniture:** Designing furniture that can be moved or reconfigured as needed, maximizing limited space. - **Mobile Homes:** Designing homes on wheels for transportation, flexibility, and adventure. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Construction:** Innovative construction companies that are exploring alternative building materials and methods to provide affordable housing. - **Furniture Design:** Companies and designers who specialize in modular, multi-functional, and space-saving furniture solutions. - **Recreational Vehicles:** Manufacturers who produce mobile homes, campers, and RVs, who can investigate new and stylish designs for those who love to travel and embrace a minimalist lifestyle. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Fully-Functioning Camp Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busbox.md) - [Bohemian Mobile Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-birdy.md) - [Spacious Portable Compact Bunkhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/denali-xl.md) - [Micro-Living Portable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buttercup-tiny-home.md) - [Space-Saving Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levi-kelly.md) - [Multifunctional Transport Buses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubblic-public.md) - [California-Inspired Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buxton.md) - [Modular Tiny Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vettel-haus.md) - [Integrated Engine Off-Roading Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rubishack.md)
