Skargaarden's pieces stand out for their high-quality craftsmanship, durability, and a minimalist aesthetic. The Koster Collection, for example, includes a range of outdoor furniture like dining chairs, lounge chairs, and sun loungers, all made from teak and UV-resistant materials. This collection is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, showcasing the brand's commitment to versatile and resilient design. The [Saltholm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saltholm) Collection, on the other hand, draws inspiration from the secluded island of Saltholm. It features sofas, ottomans, and lounge chairs with teak frames and plush cushions. Other furniture pieces that exude Scandinavian design principles include the H55 Lounge Chair, designed by Björn Hultén and inspired by the 1955 Helsingborg Exhibition, as well as the Kryss Lounge Chair and Skanör Sun Lounger Image Credit: Skargaarden ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 26% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Scandinavian Design Principles:** The minimalistic and functional approach of Scandinavian design continues to influence modern outdoor furniture trends. - **Durable Materials in Furniture:** Combining teak and UV-resistant materials in outdoor collections reflects a growing inclination towards longevity and sustainability in furniture. - **Versatile Indoor-outdoor Furniture:** The rise in demand for furniture that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use underscores the shift towards adaptable living spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry is embracing advanced materials and design principles to create durable and aesthetically pleasing products. - **Outdoor Living:** The outdoor living industry is seeing a boost as more consumers invest in high-quality, versatile furnishings for their exterior spaces. - **Sustainable Goods:** Sustainability-focused industries are thriving as they incorporate eco-friendly materials and practices in their product offerings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Teak Wood Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saltholm.md) - [Outdoor Scandinavian Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bste-lounge-chair.md) - [Sustainable Danish Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rib-collection.md) - [Revived Summer-Ready Furniture Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adirondack.md) - [Eco-Friendly Scandinavian Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verk-furniture.md) - [Sustainable Flat-Packable Hotel Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fritz-hansen-1.md) - [Modern Scandinavian Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fogias-collection.md) - [Stunning Scandinavian Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-seating-collection.md) - [Scandinavian Design-Inspired Chair Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orns-chair.md)
