The Scale Z expands to weigh everything from [dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perchcare) to luggage. A regular [bathroom scale](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lefu-smart-scale) just doesn’t cut it when you are trying to weigh a suitcase or a Great Dane. The Scale Z can extend its footpads outward to accommodate oblong objects. This scale is also helpful for [losing weight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/methreesixty), and can be used from your phone in the form of an app. Who could resist getting on the Scale Z? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Transformable Scales:** Innovative scales that can be transformed to weigh any object or person, leading to opportunities in the health and travel industries. - **Smartphone-connected Scales:** Scales that can be connected to smartphones, providing users with an easier way to track their weight loss progress, leading to opportunities in the health and tech industries. - **Multipurpose Scales:** Scales that can weigh a range of objects, from pets to luggage, leading to opportunities in the travel and home goods industries. ### Where This Applies - **Health:** Opportunities for developing innovative weight tracking technologies and devices. - **Travel:** Opportunities for designing innovative luggage scales that provide accurate measurement. - **Home Goods:** Opportunities for developing innovative scales that can be used for a range of objects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Skateboard-Inspired Body Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skateboard-scale.md) - [Multifunctional Home Smart Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-scale-ultra.md) - [Size-Inclusive Weight Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wide-base-weight-scale.md) - [Multi-Use Smart Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scale-x.md) - [Portable Minimalist Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bifur.md) - [Ultra-Precise Smart Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-ultra-bodyscan.md) - [High-Precision Sensor Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/household-smart-scale.md) - [Smart-Designed Body Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartdesigned-body-scale.md) - [Smart Health Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/withings-body-scan-2.md)
