# Ghastly Supercars Sbarro Autobau Six-Speed Scream Machine is Like a Batmobile on Acid By Katie Cordrey | Published 2010-03-21 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sbarro-autobau-six-speed References: [examiner](http://www.examiner.com/x-8310-Trendy-Living-Examiner~y2010m3d4-Wicked-concept-car-at-Geneva-from-Sbarro-Autobau?cid=exrss-Trendy-Living-Examiner) & [autoblog](http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/geneva-2010-sbarro-autobau) The Sbarro Autobau futuristic concept car is powered by a [Ferrari](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2025-12cilindri) [V12](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagani) rear-mounted engine that harnesses 500 HP with a six-speed transmission. With a clamshell-topped low body profile, the Sbarro Autobau is one mean-looking machine. Reminiscent of a comic-book hero’s car--a [Batmobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batmobile-crocs) in orange, maybe--knowing which end is the ‘front’ takes a little scrutiny. The ginormous windshield is a clue: The most glass faces forward. Whether the Sbarro Autobau is ugly or not, I’d be up for testing out this six-speed scream machine, even if I had to bite the bullet and go to the Geneva Auto Show to do it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Futuristic Concept Cars:** Exploring cutting-edge designs and technologies in the automotive industry to create innovative and eye-catching vehicles. - **High-powered Engine Technology:** Harnessing the latest advancements in engine performance to create powerful and efficient engines for automotive applications. - **Unique Body Profiles:** Designing vehicles with distinctive and unconventional body shapes to stand out in the crowded automotive market. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Automotive:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in designing and manufacturing futuristic concept cars with advanced technologies. - **Automotive Engineering:** Opportunities for developing high-powered and efficient engines for various automotive applications. - **Automotive Design:** Chances to create innovative and unique vehicle designs with unconventional body profiles to attract customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Fast Wishbone Hypercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagani.md) - [Reimagined Road-Legal Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roadlegal-supercar.md) - [Exclusive Luxury Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultra-car.md) - [Sleek Superhero Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pininfarina-b95-gotham.md) - [Luxury Italian Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utopia-roadster.md) - [Remastered Iconic Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remastered-iconic-supercar.md) - [Contoured Limousine-Like Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saab-aerostream.md) - [Ultra-Advanced Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koenigsegg-sadairs-spear.md) - [Italian V12 Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revuelto.md)
